EVGA announces that the popular GTX 260 “Core 216″ is now available with a 55nm GPU. The EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 55nm offers 216 stream processors, 896MB of GDDR3 memory and a 448-bit memory interface.

The EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 55nm comes in three versions - standard ($260), superclocked ($270) and SSC ($290).

The EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 55nm Standard has reference clocks of 576MHz for the GPU, 1242MHz for the shaders and 1998MHz for the memory. The GTX 260 Core 216 55nm Superclocked runs at 626/1350/2106 MHz, while the SSC boasts 675/1458/2304 MHz.

ASUS plans to introduce its own motherboards for AMD AM3 and AM2 processors - the M4A78 Pro and M4A79 Deluxe. The boards will be shown at CES 2009.

ASUS M4A78 Pro

The M4A78 Pro is powered with the AMD 780G chipset and Radeon HD 3200 graphics core featuring D-Sub, DVI and HDMI connectivity. The board supports DDR2 memory modules at 1066MHz. ASUS M4A78 Pro comes with one PCI-Express x16 slot, two PCI-Express x1 slots and six SATA-II ports.

ASUS M4A79 Deluxe

ASUS M4A79 Deluxe uses 790FX chipset. The board offers four PCI-Express x16 slots, an eSATA port and five SATA-II ports. Moreover, the M4A79 Deluxe comes with a heatpipe cooling system and 8+2 phase power design.

LG is going to unveil the world’s thinnest LED-backlit LCD TV - the LG LH95. The TV is only 24.8mm thick. LG LH95 boasts a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio while offering 240Hz TrueMotion refresh rate.

Moreover, one more LCD TV will be introduced. This time, the refresh rates will be as high as 480Hz. The TV will also come with a 4ms response time.

Seagate unveils its first 3.5-inch single-platter 500GB hard drive - the ST3500410AS (€50). The SATA-II HDD spins at 7200RPM and boasts a 16MB cache.

The ST3500410AS befits to the upcoming Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 family. The drive will be available next week.

VIA is working on a dual-core Nano 3000 processor to compete with Intel Atom 330. The dual-core Nano 3000 features 128KB of L1 and 1MB of L2 cache and offers a fast 1333MHz VIA V4 bus.

Sadly, the CPU will be manufactured using only 65nm process. Moreover, there will be also a single-core version of VIA Nano 3000. The CPUs will come in 2H 2009.
